Ingrid Fischer-Schreiber

Born 1956 in Vienna / Austria

1974–1978: Institute of Translational Science, University of Vienna (French, Italian), MA in 1978

1977–1980, 1983–1984: Institut of Sinology, University of Vienna

1980–1982: Language Institute Beijing (now: Beijing Language and Culture University)

Since 1985 freelance translator (for French, Chinese and English) with a focus on East Asian philosophy, future trends, globalization, digital culture.

Clients: Diogenes, Fischer, Campus, DVA, O. W. Barth, Krüger,  Bollmann, Springer, Hugendubel, Veritas, documenta, Sammlung Essl, Architekturzentrum Wien, Kunstforum …

Since 1988 freelance editor for different German pulishers (Fischer, Campus, Krüger, Scherz, Veritas, Bacopa, Styria) and Austrian cultural institutions (Ars Electronica, OK Offenes Kulturhaus, Lentos Art Museum Linz, Art University Linz …)
